Kim’s book is about how to prepare for, and live, a successful retirement. Retirement is not the end, but rather, the beginning of a new life stage. What’s different about this book is that Kim shows retirement from another standpoint – it’s not just about your finances, but who you are. It’s about looking at yourself and giving meaning to how, why and when you retire. Through her practical exercises, Kim shows you how to live a balanced life in retirement through careful planning and preparation (I reckon you can use the exercises for pretty much any life stage).I loved the client stories and experiences in the book – they are real life situations, personal, and there’s something there we can all relate to. Coupled with the exercises, you end up with a picture of what you want your retirement to look like.
The book is simply written and easy to follow, and something you can dip into again and again over time. It really does encourage you to dream about what works for you!
